My ace Dad

Created by Nancy 5 years ago

Dad, thanks for helping me turn into the person I am today. You got me through my awkward teenage years and never complained about me wearing big boots, crazy tights and having multi coloured dreadlocks. You taught me to embrace being an individual, to follow my dreams, and encouraged me to be a free spirit. It's with your advice I came to Scotland, and with your advice I'm still here with a beautiful family of my own.

Thanks for the toy cars you smashed up for me when I was a kid so I could play with the ambulances and police cars. For our holiday to Torquay where we lived on the Lititle Chef breakfast for about a week. For the camping trip to Skye in the most leaky of tents ever...and for driving off with a pint of milk on the roof. For always standing up for me when I needed help regardless of if it was boyfriend trouble or getting into art school. For talking and for listening and giving me an ace head start in the world of music....Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Deep Purple...list goes on.

Cheers for always being there and for fighting like a trooper until the end. You always said you wouldn't let it defeat you, it didn't, you nailed it Dad with the help of your loving family. We all love you so much. Take care Dad...love you loads Claire xxxxx
